| The order removing the force
of E. Wilkes & Co to the 3rd Residency is suspended. In the meantime
every exertion must be made to push forward the southern portion of the
work. |
| If it be impracticable to find
sticks of the length required for shingles to the trestle-work you are
authorized to make the following alteration |
| Instead of sticks 25 x 8 x 14
order sticks 13' x 10" x 14". Of course double the number will be
required. |
| Report to me the culverts
which will in your opinion be necessary before the masonry can be built
and I will see about the proper substitutes. |
