Damage to the Southern {(of
Mississippi)} Railroad |
The Jackson Mississippian of Tuesday says: |
We learn that for a space of several
hundred yards, between Bolton and Edwards, this road has been overflowed
and so injured as to obstruct travel for several days. The damage has
prevented many members of the legislature from reaching this city in
time to enter upon the duties of the extra session. |
The Mississippian adds: |
The telegraph wires are all down, and we
are consequently without late intelligence this morning. |
