| The Columbia & Hamburg Railroad |
| Mr. Editor, |
| I see upon the bulletin boards
and in the papers of Columbia, that Augusta has subscribed $300,000 to
the Columbia & Hamburg Railroad. They call upon all interested to
subscribe liberally and at once to the enterprise, so that the company
may be organized immediately, and the work
commenced. |
| Lexington and Edgefield
Districts are specially interested in this line of road, and I hope
that all the old subscribers will renew their subscriptions, and many
new ones enter the list. Although I am too far off to be personally
interested in the road, yet I am willing to renew my subscription, and
if need be, increase it. |
