| The trains crossed Watauga to
day, which will enable them to run within a few miles of Greenville {on
the East Tennessee & Virginia RR}, where a small bridge has been built. Our cavalry occupy Strawberry
Plains. Yesterday the enemy retired after burning the railroad
bridge. |
