Pursuant to the adjournment of
this morning, the convention met this evening at the appointed hour. |
Mr. Robinson, chairman of the
Committee of Public Safety made a report giving information of the
surrender to the commissioners, under the Committee of Public Safety, of
the U. S. Revenue cutter Henry Dodge, by Lieut. W. F. Rogers, who was in
command; and also, in reference to an agreement between that committee
and A. M. Gentry {President, Texas & New Orleans
RR}, for the payment of duties on railroad iron under his
contract to the State of Texas, and on board a vessel outside the port
of Galveston; ***** |
