Will not Transport Them |
T. H. Campbell, President of the South Side Railroad
Company, publishes a card, denying that the Lincoln government has
made any proposition to transport the guns from the Bellona Arsenal
over the Danville and South Side Railroads, and says that his
company will not transport them, or any other munitions of war, in
the existing state of things, for Lincoln's Administration; and that
he feels warranted in saying that the Richmond & Danville Railroad
company take the same position. |
