Memphis & Ohio Railroad |
Important Change of Time |
The general railroad
convention, at Cleveland, Ohio, last week, already mentioned in the
Argus, made very important changes in the time of the great lines both
North and South. By that change, from and after the 15th of this month,
the morning express train, connecting with the lightning express from
Cincinnati and Indianapolis, will leave the depot in this city at five
o'clock A. M., arrive in Louisville at 11:20 A. M., and in Cincinnati at
6:40 next morning. Evening express leaves at 4 P. M., arrives in
Louisville at 1:20 P. M., and in Cincinnati at 10 P. M. Express trains
arrive at 9:30 A. M. and 9 P. M. By this arrangement the time from
Memphis to Louisville will be 18 instead of 10 1/2 hours; to Cincinnati
25 1/2 instead of 37 hours; to Nashville 14 instead of 18 1/2 hours |
