We are truly glad to see signs
of a resumption of active operations on our Railroad
{Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville RR}.
They have been partially suspended for some months past on account of
the hard times, and general inactivity in departments of trade and
travel. Now however, the Company have trains running daily to Nashville,
Springfield, Louisville, and Tennessee River. The stages, we learn, will
very soon be put on the gap from Tennessee River to Paris (10 miles) at
which latter place they will connect with the Mobile & Ohio Road for
Memphis. This route will then be much the shortest and quickest from
Louisville to Memphis. |
