M. O. & R. R. Railroad |
While at Camden last week, we had the
pleasure of a short interview with Col. Jas. T. Elliot, the President of
the Mississippi, Ouchita & Red River Company, from whom we learned that
the road was in complete operation for one mile and a half and that the
Company had purchased iron enough to complete eight miles more. |
Col. Elliot is a man of fine business
habits, perfectly reliable in all his statements of facts and is as
honest, correct and candid in his dealings with mankind as any man can
possibly be, and we are well convinced that he will do the best he can
for the success of the enterprise under all circumstances. At some other
time we shall take occasion to discuss the merits of this Road, not
having the time, space or data to do so at present. |
