Deep River Coal |
Our readers will notice the advertisement
of Messrs. C. B. Mallett of this place and James Browne of Charleston.
Their statement that it is the best Coal known in the Confederacy is
undoubtedly correct, and the gentlemen themselves already manifest their
energy by the material increase in the quantity coming down on the
Western Railroad. We learn that they expect soon to increase the
quantity mined to 100 tons a day, and eventually to a much larger
quantity. |
As to the quality of the coal see the
latest testimonial, from the Railroad Shops at Raleigh, which we publish
elsewhere. |
