At a recent meeting of the
Directors of the East Tennessee & Virginia Railroad Company, in
Jonesboro', John R. Branner was chosen President of the Company, and has
entered upon the discharge of the duties of the office, Dr. McFarland's
health having failed. Mr. Branner is a man of untiring energy, and of
such other qualities as to render him acceptable, and hence he was
selected by the unanimous vote of the Board. |
