| Major, |
| There is to be a meeting of
Rail Road men in Macon Ga on the 25th to raise the Govt tariff. If you
can make it convenient I would like to have you meet me there and then
as an advisor. I would also suggest that all applications for changes
had better be held over till that time, as they may be arranged in bulk. |
| We are sorely pressed for corn
as you may judge from my dispatches. Most of it is coming by Wilmington,
I should judge, but by whatever route it may arrive do hurry it along
without delay. |
