| The temporary track of Rail road to
connect your temporary work with the Macon & Western RRd is
approved, cost to be about $3137 as detailed in the estimate
accompanying your letter. |
| I have addressed a request to the Secy
of the Navy for 25 tons of the flat-rail iron stated by you to be
subject to his order at Columbus Ga, to be issued to your order, and
will inform you of his reply. |
| Such agreement to pay contingent damages
resulting from the use of a switch, as is customary, you are
authorized to enter into, with the Rail Road Company. This had
better be in your name, and your successors commanding the Armory. |
