| I have received the
communication to Hd Qts about the sick of Col. Whitfield's Command. I
did not promise trains on the 12. But sent one yesterday evening for
the sick of Col. Whitfield's Command. I regret exceedingly that a
single sick soldier should be made to suffer by the neglect of any one
& I am sure that everything that I can do for their comfort shall
be done. If train was promised by any of the officers of the road
& not sent I will ??? them from the service instantly. |
