| General, |
| I have in my possession Twelve
hundred & fifty eight ($1,258.00) dollars collected from David R. Dillon
of Savannah Ga for the purpose of reimbursing the Government for the
transportation of 500 bbls flour from Petersburg to Savannah. |
| Dillon purchased the flour in
Petersburg and by some means obtained Government transportation for it.
I suspected the shipment was not really for Govt, and traced the matter
to its conclusion and collected the money. I would respectfully ask what
disposition I shall make of it. |
