| Enclosed please find the
papers in regard to the repair done to R Roads by the Enemy. |
| In the present state of our
affairs it is very important to Subordinate officers to have a matter
of so much importance settled. The question is a very clear one to my
mind, and I have no hesitation in saying that in all such cases the
local R Rd agents should have instructions to rebuild any destroyed
road when ordered by a Dept Commander who of course is the only proper
judge of the necessity of the case. |
