| Sir, |
| Your letter of the 25th ultimo was referred
to Major F. W. Sims, Superintendent of Rail Road Bureau, etc. |
| That officer reports that the President of
the North Carolina Rail Road has assured him that "he would do
all that Captain Bridger asks, if he were able, but a constant
pressure compels him to neglect some points. It is a question which
work is most important. The corn from Georgia seems so, and until that
ceases, intermediate points must suffice." |
| This endorsement is communicated to you,
for your information. |
