| Your letter of the 15th inst addressed to the Honl
Secretary of War has been by him referred to this office; and in answer
I have to inform you that, it is not necessary for you to visit or send
an agent to Richmond to collect the amount due to the Rail Road of which
you are President. |
| All that is required to obtain payment of your claims
is to send the account supported by the proper vouchers to Maj Winnemere
of New Orleans who will submit an estimate for the amount necessary and
who will pay you in Confederate Bonds. |
