| I have the honor to acknowledge the
references by you, to this office for attention, of a letter from Mr
J H Robinson Agent of the East Tennessee & Va R Road at Greenville,
preferring charges of disloyalty against the president, J R Branner,
and the employees of said road. The letter is herewith returned,
accompanied by a statement from the Hon John W Lewis, the former
Superintendent of the road, and endorsed by the Hon L C Haynes,
which I think is a satisfactory answer to it. |
