Isaac Scott Esqr.
President Macon & Western RR

Sir,
Expecting to erect for the Ordnance Bureau of the CS a Laboratory establishment upon a piece of land adjoining your railroad track and about two miles from the depot in Macon, I desire to apply for permission on the part of the railroad Company to build a short branch tract or turn-out said branch track to leave the main road a little on the Macon side of "the old saw mill" or thereabouts and to run inside the enclosure of the works.
I desire, further to obtain if possible from the company the free use of two or three dirt or platform cars to be used in building the branch track, and permission to take dirt from a cut close by upon the main line in order to make a necessary small embankment upon the branch. May I request you to lay the above matter before the Board of Directors at as early a day as possible?
I am Sir,
Very Respectfully
Your obt Servt
