| Inform me of width, depth and character of
bottom of Cape Fear River at point where it is proposed to build R. R.
Bridge at Wilmington. {The bridge would have
connected the Wilmington & Manchester RR to the Wilmington &
Weldon RR. One major problem was that the two roads were of different
gauges. The bridge was built shortly after the war.} |
