| I have to
acknowledge receipt of yours of the 13th inst, in which you announced
the completion of the temporary trestles and tracks of the Bridges at
Mossy Creek, Flat Creek & Strawberry Plains {on
the East Tennessee & Virginia RR}.
The rapidity with which you have reestablished communication on this
important line is highly gratifying & I entirely approve of the
system of construction which you have adopted. A letter has been
addressed to Messrs J. R. Anderson & Co. of the Tredegar Works
directing them to furnish Mr. A. L. Maxwell promptly with the bolts
requested for the permanent reconstruction of the said bridges. |
