| Endorsement on letter from L. C. Hoss --
Supt. East Tenn. & Va. R. Rd. {Superintendent,
East Tennessee & Virginia RR} dated Knoxville June 6th 1863 -- in
relation to the work of that road -- being unable to procure iron --
requests that the required amount be furnished them. |
| "Resp. referred to Col. Garnett and
Capt. Walker, commissioners for collecting and distributing R. Rd.
iron &c. with a request that they examine and report to this
Bureau as to the wants of the E. Tenn. & Va. R. Road, stating the
kinds of iron that should be furnished if any, the amount, &c. If
an be furnished the company -- old iron should be given, if
possible, in exchange |
