the Prest. of the Confed States to provide the means of military
transportation by the construction of a Rail Road between Blue Mountain
in the State of Ala. & Rome Ga. |
| The duty of making the contract is
assigned to you subject to the approval of the Secty of War. You will
please at once enter on the duty assigned you & keep this office
informed of your proceedings & your address. |
