| Practical Rail Road officers and engineers,
including engineer in charge of work declare that the turn-table
arrangement once disapproved by you, will not be as efficient as a good
curve, which can be made at an expense short of $10,000. Col. Sims R. R.
Bureau can explain to what I refer. In absence of Col Harris and Genl
Beauregard, I do not like to interfere though I disapprove the
turn-table arrangement, and must ask your authority to order the curve
made instead. |
