| The ammunition needed by Genl
Loring is now at the {Meridian} Depot
{Southern (of Mississippi) RR} and ready to
be sent to Vicksburg and I am informed that it cannot be carried forward
for the want of locomotives. This ammunition must be sent forward. An
engine must be forthcoming and if it cannot be sent to Vicksburg it must
be sent to Vaughan's Station on the {Mississippi}
Central R. R. The ammunition must go forward by the one road or
the other and that immediately. Let know at once by which road it will
go. |
