| I understand there is beef on
the road from Grenada {Mississippi Central RR}
which for some causes is delayed on the way. This is inexplicable
and must be avoided at once in as much as there is no beef now here & it
is daily growing worse on the road. There are wagons for the
transportation of the ammunition now at Vaughan's Station awaiting its
arrival. If possible it would be best to send forward a special train at
once. The train which takes the ammunition from here to Canton must go
on immediately to Vaughan's Station. This is a matter that admits of no
delay. |
