| It is very important to have
considerable amount of Masonry done on this Road during this Winter
and the coming Spring, and I find it impossible to employ Masons not
connected with the Army. |
| I understand Thomas Butler of Company
"B" 19th Regiment of Georgia Volunteers is competent for the
business and I hereby request a transfer for him, to act in said
capacity. |

| This road has done a very large amount of Govt work &
done it well. It has never had a single detail yet tho' they have
been asked for as an act of justice, as well as the prudent step to
keep the rd a safe one, this application is urgently recommended. |
