| Resolved unanimously that the interest
of the Virginia Central Railroad requires that Thos. Dodamead
removed from the Office of General Superintendent and he is
therefore hereby removed. |
| Resolved, that the Board regard it to be
the duty of the Superintendent to be present at the departure and
arrivals of the trains when practicable and not inconsistent with
other duties. |
| H D Whitcomb is unanimously elected
Superintendent in place of Thos Dodamead removed. |
| Whereas, the Convention which met in the
City of Richmond on the 25 of June, omitted to consider the question
of receiving Confederate Bonds for transporting the Mail and it
appearing that some of the charges adopted are higher, in the
opinion of this Board than they should be under the present
circumstances of the Country |
| Resolved therefore that the President of
this Company to call another meeting to reconsider the whole subject
ion the City of Richmond on the 29 July inst. |
