| Resolved, that the interests of the
Company requires that an additional officer to be styled Master of
transportation should be approved whose duties shall be as follows,
viz: |
| He shall have charge of the movements of
trains from Richmond and the control of Conductors of Freight
trains; the direction of affairs and the appointment and control of
operators at the Richmond Yard; the appointment of Engineers and
others connected with the trains; except Conductors and Express
Agents; the supervision of Enginemen in the discharge of their
duties in Richmond and on the Road and such other duties as the
General Supt of transportation may require for his assistance |
| He shall be appointed by the Board of
Directors and be subject to the General Supt of Transportation in
the discharge of his duties |
| Resolved that G S Netherland is
appointed to the above office with a salary of $2500. |
