   At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Central Rail Road Company, present

  Wm Overton  
   The Superintendent was authorised to contract with Thos Steer for the transportation of pig iron from Covington or Jackson's River at $6.00 per ton of 2000 lbs; provided that he furnishes 1,200 tons or more within twelve months from the time that he delivers the first lot on the Road, otherwise full freight is to be charged.
   Ordered that a reception house be built at Ivy Depot not costing more than $500.
