| The Treasurer submitted to the Board a
written request from A. L. Maxwell dated 24th April asking for an
advance of money to be used in constructing the Tombigbee Bridge, until
money could be received by hi from the Government when the amount
advanced should be refunded. |
| On Motion of Mr Lapsley it was Resolved |
| That the Treasurer is authorised with the
approval of the President to make a reasonable advance as may be judged
necessary and proper in addition to the $20,000 already advanced at the
request of Col. M Meriwether, on condition that the whole to be refunded
out of the first funds received by said A L Maxwell from the Government |
