6 Passenger & Mail cars and 83 Box and Gondola cars were rented from the Manassas Gap Railroad in April. 6 Baggage & Passenger (Second Class) cars were rented from the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad and 1 Passenger, 10 Box and 20 Flat cars were rented from the Seaboard & Roanoke Railroad.

A large number of CS Government cars have been run on the road.

45 of the Box cars have been fitted with 4 large windows and seats for the transport of troops.

6 Flat, 3 Hand, 12 Box, 2 Pole, and 1 Mail car have been built by company shops for use on the road.

11 Passenger and 32 Freight cars have been purchased (4 old Passenger cars purchased from Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac RR in early 1863). 3 Passenger cars have been built.

May 31, 1864

12 Box, 4 Flat and 13 Pole cars have been built. 2 Passenger cars were thoroughly repaired and refitted.

14 new Box cars were purchased.

May 31, 1865

15 Box and 16 Pole cars have been built. 7 Passenger cars have been rebuilt.
