| The Richmond & Petersburg RR lists Numbers 1-3 as being hired from the Manassas Gap RR during the past year (one in April, one in August, and one not noted). In March, the Raleigh & Gaston RR made and installed a new cab for #4. In November, Number 3 had been purchased by the Government and was to be retained to haul coal; a second document makes it clear it was purchased in February of 1864. | |||||||
