Manassas Gap Locomotives
1862
In April, Locomotive # 2 was rented to the North Carolina Railroad. Locomotive #1 was rented to the same road earlier. Locomotives #4, 7 & 9 were rented to the CS Government for the month of October.

May, 1863

The Richmond & Petersburg RR lists Numbers 1-3 as being hired from the Manassas Gap RR during the past year (one in April, one in August, and one not noted). In March, the Raleigh & Gaston RR made and installed a new cab for #4. In November, Number 3 had been purchased by the Government and was to be retained to haul coal; a second document makes it clear it was purchased in February of 1864.

1864

Purchased 5 locomotives from CS Government on February 4; sold Locomotive #3 to the Government on that date.
