| Oblige me by receiving
herewith a Chattel Mortgage of the Hon. D. L. Yulie on Eighty Negro
Slaves in favor of Jno Elliott to secure the sum of $35,000 borrowed
for the use of the Florida RR Co to pay the companies ??ly said from 1
Sep, 1859, and hold the same subject to the control of said Jno
Elliott Esq. |
| Mr. Yulee promises to make a
new deed to same effect and insert therein the reason for his making
the same, in which case you can s?? the old deed now handed you and
you will then be so good as to have the new deed put on record in case
Mr Elliott does not ??iel the ??se. |
