| We learn from the Fayetteville
Observer, that the annual meeting of the Stockholders in the
Fayetteville & Western Railroad Company {the
Western RR} was held in that town on Saturday last. |
| The act of the late
Legislature, to aid in the extension of the Road to the N. C. Road,
was unanimously accepted as an amendment to the charter. The survey of
several routes from Deep River to the N. C. Road, will commence
forthwith. |
| C. B. Mallett, Esq., was
unanimously re-elected President. The former Board of Directors was
also re-elected. |
