| The Damage to the W. & W. R. R. |
| Goldsboro', Dec. 19th, 1862 -- 3:20 P. M. |

| Col. Fremont, Chief Engineer
of the Wilmington & Weldon R. R. has just arrived in town from
Wilmington. He passed over the entire track to Neuse river on a hand
car. He says that he can repair all the damages on the road in two
days, and the bridge, over the Neuse river in six or 8 days. All
quiet. |
