| Public Notice |
| At a meeting of
the Board of Commissioners of the town of Charlotte, present: Robt. F.
Davidson, Mayor, Jas. H. Carson, S. M. Blair, H. G. Springs and S. W.
Davis, Commissioners, the following Resolution was passed unanimously: |
| Resolved,
by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Charlotte, that the town
Clerk is hereby instructed to cause to be published in the several
Papers of this place the following Notice: |
| Whereas, the
Atlantic, Tennessee & Ohio Railroad Company has failed to comply with
the express conditions upon which the Corporation subscription of
$60,000 by the town was made to the Capital Stock of that Road, and for
other reasons satisfactory to this Board of Commissioners, therefore all
persons are hereby forewarned from trading for or accepting in payment
of any claim any of the $20,000 of Bonds bearing date July 1, 1860, and
issued on the 20th day of November, 1860, to said Railroad Company, as
Instalments on said subscription, as the same will not be paid. |
