| We learn that a fire occurred
yesterday on the up train from Columbia, about three miles below
Chester, which consumed three cotton cars, and destroyed the track for a
short distance. |

| We learn that five
cars, instead of three, were burnt, destroying 150 bales cotton. The
cotton was owned by the Charlotte & S. C. Railroad company. |
