| Mobile & Ohio Railroad |
| Last night was a good and most pleasing
day for the stockholders of this road and the citizens of Mobile. It was
the occasion of the official announcement of the completion of the
Mobile & Ohio railroad. Governor Brown, president of the road, called
the meeting to order and made his report, after which he vacated the
chair. On motion of Gov. Whitfield of Mississippi, Dr. Jackson, of
Tennessee, was called to the chair and J. P. Rutland, Esq., requested to
act as secretary. |
