The Completion of the Railroad
Last Monday the last rail was driven in the Mobile & Ohio railroad by M. J. D. Baldwyn, the projector of the enterprise. A special train passed here Monday morning with Mr. B. on board. He was saluted at the depot with a shot from our big gun.
This road will stand as an enduring monument to Mr. Baldwyn and link his name to posterity as a great benefactor of mankind.
