The burned Bridge at Lynchburg
Lynchburg, Feb. 25
The portion of the bridge which was destroyed yesterday afternoon was accidentally set on fire by coals which fell from the locomotive which passed over a few minutes before the fire was discovered. Two spans of the bridge only were burnt. The bridge connected the island, upon which the South-Side depot is situated, with the Virginia & Tennessee depot. The accidental burning will prevent for some time the running of the South-Side cars into the city, but will not materially inconvenience travel, as the close connection of the two roads is the only present difficulty.
