| The railroad
from Chattanooga
westward for a distance of 100 miles {which
includes the Nashville & Chattanooga RR and the Memphis &
Charleston RR} has been rendered useless for
service for the present by reason of recent freshets, destroying the
bridge from Chattanooga. |
