| To the Stockholders of the
Alabama & Florida Rail Road Company |
| You are requested to attend a
special meeting to be held at Estelle Hall, in the city of Montgomery,
on Wednesday, the 9th day of January, 1861. |
| It now only requires the sum of
fifty thousand dollars to complete and put the road in operation by the
1st day of April, and you are called together to assist in raising this
fund, without which the work will have to be suspended, and I am not
willing to do so before having your action on my appeal for aid. You
will be passed free over the road to and from the meeting. |
