We understand Bryant and
Cook, charged with purloining money from the mails on the B. B. B. & C.
Railroad {Buffalo Bayou, Brazos & Colorado RR},
have been fully committed by the C. S. commissioner to await their trial
before the next term of the Confederate Court. The bail was fixed at
$5,000 for Bryant, and $2,500 for Cook. Bryant has been route agent on
that road for nearly a year while Cook acted as his assistant. |
