| The Directors of this Company have
declared a dividend of 4 per cent. on the capital stock of the 1st
Section payable on the 15th Oct. next in Confederate money. |

A. McConnaughey, Agent in Salisbury; Stockholders in Iredell will be
paid at this office; Stockholders in Catawba will be paid by L. Fry,
Agent at Newton; Stockholders in Caldwell will be paid by A. L. Shuford,
Agent at Hickory Tavern; Stockholders in Burke will be paid by E. J.
Erwin, Cashier of Bank at Morganton. |
