Saving the Locomotives
Upwards of $40,000 worth of half-destroyed engines and cars were abandoned on the {Richmond &} York River Railroad by the enemy in their retirement to the James river. The wrecks are now being brought up to the city, and it is probable that all can be repaired and made to render their service to the Confederacy.
