To the use of Locomotive & train of cars ordered by Brig Genl Geo W Randolph to be kept on the road between Suffolk and Weldon. Engine to be fired up and ready at any time to carry dispatches Officers or troops.
 
The Locomotive was fired up 16 days in March awaiting orders, at $18 per day $288.--
And run 652 miles in same month with dispatches & officers at .50c per mile $326 --
$614.--
 
   The Treasurer of the Seaboard & Norfolk RRd Co will please apply to the Hon: Geo: W. Randolph Secy: of War for his approval to this bill: The work was performed on his verbal order to me whilst he was commanding as Brigadier General at Suffolk Va.
