| I am informed that an
arrangement has been made with the Richmond & Danville R. R. to
run a train three times a week for the transportation of sick &
wounded soldiers, and trust in consequence of the South Side R. R. not
being embraced in the arrangement these men are frequently detained
all night on the road. |
| If the arrangement was made
through your Department I wish you to confer with Mr Campbell the
Prest of the South Side R. R. as to the ??? of embracing this road in
it, and if practicable secure concert between the Rail Road Companies. |
