| I have received your application for a
passport to Nassau for Mr. R. R. Swepson, Agent, to purchase supplies
for the N. C. Railroad. In your letter you state that Mr. Swepson is
exempt from military service without giving the grounds of his
exemption, and I can not act upon the application until informed more
particularly of the nature of the exemption said to be held by the
party. |
